Seeing is Knowing
Seeing is believing, that it what we are told to “be-lie-ve”. As Rastafari, InI say seeing is knowing. Within belief is a hidden lie, be-LIE-f. To believe is to have the conviction that something is true. Knowing the truth and believing the truth are entirely different. InI see HIM and know HIM.

I posted a photo of Haile Selassie I with JFK and it was instantly re-posted several times. Was this symbol of East meeting West so surprising? Perhaps we should go over a few facts.

His Story
A group of citizens in Tennessee want to remove all mention of slavery from the public education history books. They feel it tarnishes the south and the founding fathers’ legacy. We will never let them forget that the country was founded an built on the backs of Africans.
The Lion wears the Crown
Martin Luther King said that he was inspired by Emperor of Ethiopia Haile Selassie I and that they exchanged correspondence. Haile Selassie I was not only concerned with the welfare and human rights of Ethiopians at home. Haile Selassie was in the states while the courts were deliberating over Brown vs. the Board of Education, urging them to give full equal rights to all citizens.

Culture
